Dr. von Fricken received his MPH and PhD at University of Florida, after which he completed a Post-doctoral fellowship at Duke University, Division of Infectious Diseases, School of Medicine.
He is currently a tenured Associate Professor at the University of Florida, Dept of Environmental and Global Health, and holds a Research Associate appointment with the Smithsonian Institution, National Zoological Park and holds a visiting scientist designation at USARMRIID, with the Diagnostic Systems Division. He specializes as an infectious disease epidemiologist, and has over 15 years of international research experience working with emerging diseases.
Contract services and billing are determined on a case by case basis, depending on SoW, time commitment, and level of technical expertise required.
